Penyediaan energi listrik dengan yang kontinuitas penyaluran terjamin, dan kualitas tegangan baik sesuai kebutuhan dunia industri perlu diperhatikan. Pengaturan (regulator tegangan) mutlak dilakukan karena pengaruh input dari PLN selaku penyedia fluktuatif, perubahan beban berubah-ubah pada sisi konsumen. Adanya faktor diatas, penyesesuaian cara melakukan perpindahan tap perbandingan kumparan peralatan OLTC (On Load Tap Changer). Meningkatkan kinerja operasional on load changer mengoptimalkan lagi program perawatan perbaikan (maintenance) terjadwal. Dengan maintenance terjadwal, memperbaiki faktor-faktor berpengaruh secara langsung terhadap OLTC, diharapkan dapat memperkecil jumlah transformator, sehingga didapatkan life time lebih lama dalam artian kontak sebesar 100.000 untuk preventive maintenance, 500.000 overhoule dilampaui waktu lama, tanpa mengangu kehandalan serta fungsi itu sendiri.
